The first story showed me essentially how one bad grape can ruin a bunch. It also told me what happens when a bunch of country boys find themselves in a new world like Memphis. Poor Calvin just experienced his first taste of love in the wrong way and it caused troubled for him. Aggie went to help his friend and it turned out worse for him. And Roger it seemed, just kept doing like Roger will always do.

I gave it to my mom for Christmas but haven't read it myself. She is a huge Grisham fan and enjoyed Ford County. When do you plan to start reading this book?

It would be easier for me hope, I love A Time to Kill. I didn't realize it followed that book.

A Time to Kill was my favorite Grisham book, and actually, come to think of it, one of my favorite books period. I wonder if that will make it harder or easier to like Ford County...??

I've heard by several people that Ford County is not very good. I think it's a book of 7 short stories dealing with the people from the setting of his old novel "A Time to Kill". Online, some reviews look good, some look bad. I've had a hard time staying with short stories for awhile. Guess I've just gotten used to the big books.

I will have to order it too, so maybe we could start with this one. That will give me time to finish the one I have. Hope, I haven\'t read any John Grisham in awhile either.

I'll love to be in a book club...online or otherwise, I don't care. And Ford County sounds good to me, although I had given up on Grisham a while ago. The last book he wrote that I enjoyed was A Painted House (I think), but I'll try this one :)
