I like to go to the Goodwill but you have to have the patience to stand and look through the mounds of trashy love novels, lol (no offense to those who enjoy trashy romance books). I love to shop barnes and noble but they are a little expensive. always go hardback if it is a book you want to keep forever, but they are more expensive. Always go paperback if you may not want to keep forever. half.com is a good site.

There is a little booth at the Yadkinville Flea Market that sells alot of good books...I find all kinds of treasures there, and there is also a really good book store in West Jefferson on Main Street.

www.paperbackswap.com is a great place to trade books, especially if you are one that doesn't like to hold on to books you've already read. I have a crate of books that I am constantly trading; some that are really good I hold on to, otherwise they go in the crate! I've been very happy with the service.

i have gotten the entire harry potter collection, hardcover, most with the dust jackets for about $7-8 (that is with shipping) per book...way cheaper than buying the entire paperback set at Target...most paperbacks can be purchased for about a penny and standard shipping is 3.99 so $4 for a book is good...half.com is also great, especially if you are looking for textbooks!!

Browse About Book Exchange, beside Liberty Theatre. Wednesdays are buy one get one free on most paperbacks. Plus, you can exchange some of your own for 25% of the cover price.

I do go to the goodwill, but they seldom have anything that interests me.

B.A.B.E. has a large selection in every genre.

Where do you get most of your books-buy new, fleamarkets, yard sales, eBay, library sales, etc...? What's the most you have ever paid for a book?
