Bad movie night: Red Dawn (the remake)

Bad movies? I've got the best of the worst! "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles LIVE from Radio City Music Hall" not bad enough how about "Flesh Gordon". Still haven't thrown up? "Premium Rush" is pretty bad or how about "Gili" both epic failure!

I did watch Expendables. Once you realize it's actually a parody of all of their old films, it's ok. And with the addition of Chuck Norris in the second one, its actually pretty good. Chuck Norris throwing out Chuck Norris jokes was hysterical. But if you try to take them as serious, they both suck to a level that is indescribable.

Speaking of bad movies, one night I sat down with a bottle of Titos and some film that starred Steven Seagal and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Even drunk it sucked.

I never saw the remake. The original was good at the time because the "dancing is evil" attitude was still slightly plausible in the mid 80's. but for the concept to be put on film in the 21st century is completely stupid.

And I have tried o go back and watch both originals of red dawn and footloose. They don't hold up. They are impossible to sit through now.

True Grit was good nausea they kept the remake inline with the book. The John Wayne version was far from accurate.

Thomas Crowne Affair was a good remake.

Rotten tomatoes lists the 50 best remakes.

I liked the remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still", but maybe I'm just partial to Jennifer Connelly!

Batman Begins awa the best batman. And the last Star Trek was good. Reboots are one thing. Remakes though I think always suck.

I can't think of any remake that is as good as the orignal

I'm done with hollywood reboots, just watched the Evil Dead, what a let down.

My favorite movie of all time, dare I say, is becoming The Big Lebowski.

And Red Dawn, I didn't even finish that reboot.

But still, the idea of a bunch of high school kids fighting a trained military is ridiculous in any decade

Where did I say the first one is a work of art? But at least at the time it was released, we thought the soviets were actually a potential threat and it made for some plausibility.
