I watched it because I love Meryl Streep. I liked the movie and thought that it really does represent a lot of
family's whether they would admit or not. Julia Roberts was pretty cool.

Yadkincutie, you are so right. Wouldn't it be great if a lot of families would watch it and realize it is like them and then they maybe would change their ways? Yeah, that is a little reaching it there but really, people need to realize just how bad these types of families are and maybe help others who are dysfunctional.
I think they couldn't have found a better person to play Violet. Steep is an amazing actress. I think all the characters were awesome in fact. And the way Violet knew her husband was going to kill himself and she did nothing to try to stop him :(( Money was more important. I think money is the root to all evil. But that's just my opinion. Anyway, I liked the movie. It opened my eyes and made me sad for those who live that way. :(

Misty disappeared around Oct 5 and was found over the weekend (I believe). She was found at the bottom of a ditch or ravine. I can't remember. Some thought it suicide but her father says no. You can probably google to get a more thorough story. As far as the film, yes, definitely a dysfunctional family.

I am with you on the ending, but, from all the pain mother had caused, I can understand it. Such a shame, she only followed in her mothers footsteps :(( The dysfunctional family is more evident that most of us know. I really thought it was a great movie and yes, the language was very strong but here again, dysfunctional families are often life that. Such a shame really. And no, I didn't know Jonna, Misty Upham was found dead, Can you tell me how and when?

I hated the ending and thought the language was horrible. Did you know they just found the body of the actress who played Johnna? Misty Upham.
