Book club would be nice, I do have kids and I do work, but I love to read. I hope you can come up with a good medium for everyone.

Will keep on the look out for a post.

I would be interested if I can fit it into my work schedule! Love to read when I can find the time! Usually read myself to sleep at night!
Just post it! :)

I would be interested in a book club as well, and agree with the poster who asked if a children's club could be going on at the same time, as it might be difficult to always find child care.
Even if I don't get to come, it sounds like a great idea!

Would there ever be a possibility of having a children's club in the children's section at the same time with supervision? I would love to be involved but would need to bring children so I doubt I would come for fear of the kids disturbing everyone!

I would love to be a part of a Book Club. Could come on my lunch time, but would be much more relaxed in the evening hours. Maybe the library should choose the book the first couple of times, then after we're established, have members take turns offering their choices and then maybe vote. Just some ideas. Please post when you've decided what, where and when.

I think this sounds great!! I would like to see this also being a book club that we could bring our children to enjoy as well!! I have boys, and my husband and I work during the day!! I think nights would be a great time to spend quality time with our family!! Keep thinking about this!! Sounds great!! I know that summer reading programs are done for the children, but since we work my children have never gotten to attend!

I agree with Allie, a general book club would be a great idea. And night meetings would be much easier for me as well.

Please keep us posted and let's get this thing going!!

I am not sure I would be able to join but I do have a few ideas. I believe that if you directed a book club in one general direction ( ex. mystery, or mother/daughter book club) you would lose potential book clubers. What if someone wanted to join, but wasn't interested in a mystery book club. I think a general book club might be better. I believe if your book club promised to offer a wide variety of topics you wouldl have a higher success rate. Possibly form a book club and then offer side activities as in a mother/daughter read. That way you have the initial members, but don't turn someone who doesn't have a child, off from your club.

I would love to join a book club but with the possibility of my schedule changing in the future, I am not sure I would be able to commit.

I would like a general book club. I would probably be able to make it to night meetings easier, but lunch sounds great if people could make that time. Thank you for posting this.

Hi there! The library would like to launch a new book club in the fall. We have tossed about the idea of either a brunch or lunch meeting and we wondered if anyone would be interested. Would people rather come out at night?

If we started a new group, would any of you guys be interested? Would a general book club be better or would anyone be interested in a mystery book club? How about a mother/daughter book club? How about tea and talk? We want a book club that people can't wait to attend.

We're always looking for ideas and we would love to hear your suggestions!
