I love to read true crime books. Have you been to Browse About Books beside the Liberty Theatre? They have a whole section of true crime books. You can also exchange books there. Some books are older but they do get in new titles sometimes. I exchange a lot of books there.

HH, I have had to answer that question a lot of times. People think I am strange for reading the books or looking at weird things on the internet. I think I want to know what CAN happen and what does happen. We all think we are so safe and that this can never happen to us. My theory is that we never know who is around us. We may have a serial killer or murderer amongst us. All those who have had a spouse kill them would probably say that they never expected it if they could. I truly don't think anyone in my family would do it, but we never know.

I also like to try to put the clues together and figure it out. I would love to be a lawyer or pathologist.

I don't read them much, but the true crime stories/books I have read mesmerized me...I read an old one a few months back that had several stories of serial killers...don't know why I like to read about real death, but I do...

I think that I try to figure out why the man/woman did it...or IF they did it...what motivated them, etc...

I love them! Don't know any new ones coming out. Have you read the books about the murders of the three boys in West Memphis Arkansas? It happened several years ago and there were three specials on HBO about it. Very interesting. Three teens were put on death row because for the murder, well I think actually only one is on death row and the others are serving life. By the time you read ALL the books on the story and see all the documentaries, you don't know who in the heck killed the little boys. The little boys were taken to the woods and sexually mutilated. It was horrible.

There is a website called the Westmemphis3 that tells about the case.

Another of my favorites is the story of Darlie Routier who supposedly killed her two little boys in Texas. She then supposedly stabbed herself in the neck missing her cartiroid artery by millimeters. She was on all the talk shows years ago and it was famous because she was taped shooting silly string on her boys graves a few days after the funeral. She threw a birthday party for one of them at the grave. She was put on death row basically because of this and the fact that she went to a strip club with her mother and smoked pot. The jury thought this made her a bad person and murderer. I truly believe she is innocent based on all the evidence I have read.

If you know of either of these stories let me know. I would love to hear others opinions.
