I loved the Witching Hour. I've read some of the others, but didn't like them near as much.

CC, start with Interview with the Vampire and go from there. Ms. Rice is a very detail oriented writer which can be good or bad depending on your tastes. And granted her books are kinda hard to get into, but once you do you will spend half the night reading!

Im afraid erotica and romance novels arent up my alley. I was wanting something with vampires though. Any suggestions?

I have read all the Mayfair Witch books & The Vampire books. They are all really good books, but Rice is kinda hard to follow at times. She gets a little long winded & slightly off track. The stories are great, so if you stick with them, they are worth it.
