Originally premiering November 6, 2001, "24" was nominated for a total of 73 Emmy Awards, winning for Outstanding Drama Series in 2006. Over eight seasons, Kiefer Sutherland garnered seven Emmy Award nominations and one win for Outstanding Lead Actor – Drama Series. While the series gained global recognition, Sutherland's portrayal of the legendary character penetrated the American psyche like no other dramatic television character to become part of the cultural lexicon.

24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY is a production of 20th Century Fox Television and Imagine Television in association with Teakwood Lane Productions. Howard Gordon, Brian Grazer and Kiefer Sutherland will executive produce, along with an additional team to be announced. The original series, which had its last American broadcast on May 24, 2010, was created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran.

More proof that fox is chasing their tail with this move. Out of the top 25 shows for 2013, very few were on the major networks. I counted only 3. But there were a couple I'm not very familiar with and wasn't positive on their network

No, you just refuse to face the truth. The major networks have continued to dumb down their programming to the lowest common denominator. That's why more and more people have been moving to other networks like HBO, FX, and AMC. But the simple minded masses will always be sucked in by the big networks programming.

Why would. Network bring the show back? The same reason that soap operas rule day time TV, the same reason survivor is still on, the same reason that Fox airs most of the shows they have on their network. The same reason that sitcoms put laugh tracks in their shows to tell you when to laugh. The majority of TV viewers are brain dead sheep.

Pixel that is exactly what I thought. I made it about half way through the first season and thought **** this is bull ****.

So why would a huge network bring back a show after it's been of the air for a fees years? Enough said

I started watching 24 but tired of it rather quickly.

The show gets good ratings because there is an abundance of simple minded people to watch it. The whole show is full of plot holes and inaccuracies. Actually, if you like 24, days of our lives is probably more your cup of tea than mine. They are both in the same category.
